There’s this girl I know..

There’s this girl I know….

She takes the bus with me everyday to work

Hides the scars behind polite “Hello’s” and friendly gestures

Talks about the weather and cooking receipes

Takes her high heels off and runs towards dead ends

Covers the pain behind her make up

Always posing in a politicly correct manner

Trying to please everyone

At parties she smiles gracefully

and never leaves your cup empty.

You’ll see her streaming through the halls

serving meals when trully all she serves is her head upon the plates.

Lives an ordinary life, having an unordinary way of living

Behaves in an ordinary way, having an unordinary way of thinking.

She plays the part so well, as it is expected of her.

But when the night comes, she stares in the mirror

and silently screams, leaving the tears unattended.

She takes off her high heels and runs towards dead ends even more fiercefully.

She knows she’s been transparent all her life

So lucid that noone took the time to see into her, just through her.

There’s this girl I know

she has been taking the same bus as me for years now

maybe in the end we’ll come down at the same stop………
